Steripen is a brand manufactured by Hydro-Photon. The company was founded by outdoor enthusiast Miles Maiden. Years of dedicated research produced a portable ultraviolet technology that is used in tandem with water treatments.

The first SteriPEN patent was awarded in 1999. It has been selected by Time magazine as one of the 100 greatest gadgets from 1923 to today, appearing on their ALL-TIME 100 Gadgets.
